AZERBAIJAN: Azerbaijan seeks adviser to secure funds for Socar’s petrochemical complex
Azerbaijan will fund one-third of the Socar project, which includes a gas processing facility to produce ethane, propane, butane and methane; a 10-million-t/y refinery with 20 processing units, and production of 670,000 t/y of polyethylene and 550,000 t/y of polypropylene.
The complex is expected to be completed in 2018 and full production of all units is scheduled for late 2020.
