APS offers own TPE line
Company owners Stephane Morin and Roger Huarng note, “Our rapid and continuing growth answering the needs of TPE customers throughout North America, prompted this expansion. This – offering our own branded products – was a natural progression, with informal research indicating the market as well as our customers and prospects would welcome this new addition in the TPE marketplace.” “Further,” continue the APS principals, “we will be filling a growing void in the TPE marketplace by offering quality samples followed by quickly offering quantities as large and small as any TPE user might need, all at highly competitive pricing.”
The first series of products to be offered will be marketed under the tradename of Viprene G. They are described as general purpose materials that offer good flexibility at low temperatures as well as long-term resistance in harsh environments and demanding applications where abrasion, chemical and UV resistance are required. Viprene G grades are offered in hardness ranges from 45 Shore A to 50 Shore D. They have been developed for applications ranging from appliance and window seals to rollers, mechanical equipment, gaskets, electronic components (cable jacketing), boots and bellows and marine products plus any products that need vibration dampening components. Depending on the grade selected, the TPVs can be injection moulded, extruded or blow moulded. They are available as pellets in natural and black.
APS, based Romulus, MI, USA; is a warehousing, distribution, shipping and technical service organization. It currently has two own product lines under the Styflex and Viprene brand names. In addition to that, APS will continue to sell and support Elastollan TPUs from BASF and Maxelast TPEs from Polymax. Sales and service are available from APS headquarters in the Detroit area and through technical agents located in key cities and markets throughout North America.
