Nitroil to exhibit polyurea coatings range at European Coatings Show 2013

Nitroil Performance Chemicals announced it will present its range of polyurea coating materials at European Coatings Show from 19 – 21 March 2013 in Nuremberg, Germany, launching new developments like PC CR 226, a highly chemical-resistant polyurea based on different chemical backbones than today’s standard.

According to the company, the just patented Syn-Solve reactive nano-chemistry incorporating nano-reactive building-blocks offers unique anti-microbial, anti-fouling and flame retardance properties to urethane and polyurea coatings and is offered as additive compound or coating system. Whilst conventional coatings suffers from leaching of additives – flame retardants, biocides, antimicorobial additives – these are non-fugitive and non-leaching, says Nitroil.

The newly developed nano-scaled dispersion product PC SynSolve 42 is an autocatalytically reactive compound accelerating the polyurethane reaction replacing activators/catalysts eliminating fogging or VOCs.

In addition, the range of UV stable clear coats will be presented with recently introduced grades:

The base coat PC CC 245 offers hardness > Shore D80 combined with good anti-growth properties in various environments. Highly resistant coatings with antifouling will be achieved with PC CC 246 with hardness > Shore D75. The new PC CC 775 with Shore D50 allows higher elongation and impact resistance.

Furthermore, the company will present its complete range of metal and amine-based polyurethane catalysts, including a broad range of chemical built-in VOC-free catalysts.
