Kuraray: TPUs with optimised property profile

The Japanese company Kuraray produces an extensive range of resins, chemicals, and fibres and is one of the most important PVA/PVB suppliers worldwide.

Of special interest for the polyurethanes industry are thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers under the brand name Kuramiron. Special features of these TPUs are their low gel content and a homogeneous melt viscosity (see p. 288ff in this issue). Besides new high quality TPU films based on these materials Kuraray will furthermore introduce "green" TPUs with up to 50 % renewable content.

Further K show highlights at the stand include new developments in the thermoplastic elastomers and the liquid rubber series.
