Ravago acquires Polyprime

Effective 1 July 2012 the Ravago Group has acquired the TPE compounding business of Polyprime Inc., a TPE compounder operating primarily from its manufacturing location in Arlington, TX, USA.

Financial details have not been disclosed. The acquisition will significantly strengthen the position of the Ravago subsidiary and TPE compounder Enplast Plastik Kimya San. Tic. A.Ş., and opens the possibility to supply TPEs to customers on a global basis. The headquarter and R&D department of Enplast will remain in Istanbul. The company although announced that Enplast Americas Inc. will develop and produce special products for the North American market.

In the context of this acquisition Enplast announced that it will introduce new TPVs with a proprietary crosslink technology under the brand name EzPrene in Europe and Asia. The company said that it inform about these new TPVs as well as on a range of new styrenic based materials with very low compression set at Fakuma 2012 (hall B5, stand 5002).
