Johnson Controls inaugurates new seating plant and JV with Magneti Marelli

Johnson Controls’ just-in-time plant in Kragujevac, Serbia, manufactures the seating systems for the Fiat 500L.

Johnson Controls manufactures complete seats for the new Fiat 500L in a new just-in-time plant in Kragujevac, Serbia. The company also supplies complete interiors, including door panels, instrument panels, floor consoles and rear quarter panels through the joint venture JCMM Automotive with PCMA, a division of Magneti Marelli S.p.A.

“We are proud to support our customer Fiat in developing and growing its business in Serbia. With our products, we contribute to the success of the 500L”, said Marzio Raveggi, Vice President and General Manager of Johnson Controls´ Fiat business unit during the inauguration of the two plants.

JCMM Automotive manufactures interior components for the Fiat 500L in Kragujevac, Serbia.

The company's new seating plant is located in the Grosnica Supplier Park near the city of Kragujevac. The interiors plant, a joint venture between Johnson Controls and Magneti Marelli, is located within the Fiat Automobiles Serbia (FAS) facility. Both plants supply the FAS facility in Kragujevac, where the 500L compact MPV is assembled.

Johnson Controls has been a long-time supplier to Fiat and is a two-time winner of the automaker´s Qualitas Award, which recognises achievements in the area of quality.
