Invista to expand production of Terate HT polyols in Wilmington

Invista Specialty Materials announced it will make another investment at its Wilmington, NC, USA, manufacturing site to expand its Terate HT polyols production capacity.

According to Invista, the latest investment – expected to be complete by January 2014 – will better serve the market as more North American customers are sourcing these products and the company makes the Terate HT polyols product line available for global customers. By offering its HT line to customers in Europe and Asia, Invista says it will better meet the growing global demand for high-performing polyols.

In August 2012, Invista announced that it would invest in both the Wilmington, NC, USA, and Vlissingen, Netherlands, sites to boost global production of its Terate HT polyols product line. Investments at both sites were completed and successfully commissioned last year. Invista also unveiled a new brand identity for its Terate polyols product line.
