CHINA: Cheil Industries finishes construction on Chinese engineering plastics unit
Cheil said the Dongguan Samsung Engineering Plastics Co. plant, with four production lines, has the capacity to produce 27,000 t/y of high value-added synthetic resins that will be supplied to Chinese automotive and mobile phone producers.
Cheil noted that chemical consultant CMAI is forecasting that Chinese demand for synthetic resins will increase more than 20 % to about 6.8-million tons in 2018, compared to 5.6-million tons in 2014.
