CHINA: Wison Engineering touts completion of all units for PetroChina Sichuan

Wison Engineering said the 300,000-t/y linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) plant in the PetroChina Sichuan Integrated Petrochemical and Refinery Complex in China has come on stream, marking the successful operation of all six projects in the complex undertaken by Wison.

The complex, based around a 10-million-t/y refinery and 800,000-t/y ethylene plant, involves 19 main units.

In addition to the LLDPE plant, Wison was responsible for the construction of the ethylene cracking furnace and pipe racks, an integrated 600,000-t/y paraxylene and 350,000-t/y benzene facility, a sulfur recovery unit and wax oil hydrocracking plant.

Wison Engineering Senior Vice President Zhou Hongliang noted that the successful start-up of the six projects demonstrates Wison’s “strong comprehensive capabilities” in building a highly complex plant as an engineering, procurement and construction service provider.
