THAILAND: NatureWorks expects 2014 decision on Thai Ingeo biopolymer facility
The project, planned in two phases, would produce 75,000 t/y of PLA in each phase, using abundant renewable plant materials. Operations are planned for 2017.
NatureWorks is seeking financial support from Thailand's government and said it will ask its parent company PTTGC to proceed with plans for the project if a soft-loan program is granted by Thailand's Finance Ministry.
