BASF wins 2010 CPI “Innovation Award”
BASF was selected for its "FilterPave Porous Pavement System," a post-consumer recycled glass and two-component polyurethane binder system for use in storm water management applications.
Other finalists included King Industries for its "K-KAT Tin/Mercury Free Catalysts," and Nanotech Industries for its "Green Polyurethane" (also referred to as HNIPU).
Finalist entries were on display during the conference, where attendees had the chance to vote for those they believed showed the most innovative use of polyurethanes.
"The Polyurethane Innovation Award shines a well-deserved spotlight on the companies and individuals that have brought innovative new solutions to the marketplace," said Steve Russell, Vice President, ACC Plastics Division.
More than 750 influential scientists, engineers, manufacturers and business leaders from around the world attended the Polyurethanes 2010 Technical Conference, discussing and demonstrating innovations, advances and breakthroughs in polyurethane materials and technology.
