Bridgestone to expand plant in Thailand

Bridgestone Tire Manufacturing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. will increase production capacity at its truck and bus radial tyre (TBR) manufacturing plant in Chon­buri, Thailand.

For an investment of JPY 16.6 billion (~ EUR 150 million) the plant will increase its daily production capacity by about 2,500 units to 10,500 units by the first half of 2014. Bridgestone started its operations at the plant in 2004 as a base for exporting TBR to the Americas, Europe and nearby Asian countries.
