Mixing of Rubber Compounds
The book Mixing of Rubber Compounds covers the major aspects of rubber compounding and discusses all relevant issues, whether it is machine design, process technology, or material parameters. It describes the configuration and design of various internal mixers and explains the processing aspects of rubber mixing. In addition, it discusses the mixing characteristics of various rubbers (NR, EPDM, CR, SBR, BR, NBR, IIR, FPM) in an internal mixer as well as the effect of process parameters on product properties. Furthermore, it covers the dispersion and distribution of fillers. The author, Prof. Dr. Andreas Limper, works as technical executive at Harburg-Freudenberger Maschinenbau GmbH since 2004.
