New range of fumed silica powders

Baltimore Innovations Ltd. has extended its range of rheological additives with the launch of Supasil powders. According to Baltimore, this new range of fumed silica powders is aimed at companies wanting to thicken products which have low viscosity.

In addition, the new products can also be used as anti-caking and anti-sagging agents. Supasil powders are white, non-toxic particles of micronised silica. Their size is tightly controlled and can be produced in grades from 7 – 40 nm wide, which in turn have specific surface areas between 70?–?400 m2/g, says the company. The powders also offer high transparency. In addition to use in the coatings, inks and adhesives industries, they can be applied in the rubber, sealants and colour concentrate sectors.
