Star introduces new co-extrusion and overmoulding materials

Star Thermoplastic Alloys & Rubbers, Inc., Broadview, IL, USA, has introduced a new StarXtrude grade for extrusion and co-extrusion. Possible applications include tubing, gaskets, valves, bumpers, cushions, grips, and window or door seals.

The new formulations were developed expressly for products where end use characteristics call for slip resistance, shock absorption, good weatherability, smooth surface and lubricity in addition to structural integrity and flexible function combined into a single part. As such, the new StarXtrude grades can significantly reduce assembly costs while enhancing performance and function. They can be an efficient and cost-effective alternative to rubber.
