High flexibility for dynamic sealing, casting, and bonding
Since 2004, the German Rampf Group has been selling the products of Rampf Giessharze, a manufacturer of polyurethane and epoxy resin systems and silicones, in China. Also since 2004, Rampf has been marketing and selling the products of Rampf Dosiertechnik, a manufacturer of low-pressure mixing and dispensing systems, via its partner Orient Rampf Dosiertechnik. In 2007, the subsidiary Rampf (Taicang) was founded in Taicang, a city which is located about 50 km from the center of Shanghai. The company produces electro casting resins and foam gaskets formulated by Rampf Giessharze as well as mineral cast machine beds from the German Rampf company Epucret, a supplier of complete solutions for customised multi-axis systems.
The dispensing robot DR-CNC ensures the high-precision dispensing of the fast-curing foam Raku-PUR Speed.
According to Rampf, the group is able to offer its customers around the globe latest technologies and solutions from a single source. “Our foreign subsidiaries and distribution partners fully comply with German standards. This ensures that wherever engineering and chemical solutions from Rampf are produced and sold, the highest quality is guaranteed,” said Michael Rampf, CEO of the Rampf Group.
The dispensing robot DR-CNC from Rampf Dosiertechnik is an ideal solution for complex applications, says the manufacturer. Variable X-Y-Z strokes enable the three-dimensional dispensing of sealants, adhesives, and encapsulants. The DR-CNC is equipped with latest features in CNC technology to combine the mixing and dispensing system with a maintenance-free CNC linear axis. The modular architecture of the CNC allows for simple and full integration into existing production control systems.
Additional options include a high-pressure rinse recycling system or a high-pressure water rinsing system, a nucleation controller for air load controls, a material recirculation system and a temperature controller, automatic thin-film degassing for bubble-free casting, various types of automation equipment, e. g. rotary index tables, shuttle tables, conveyor lines, and customised automation, as well as individual process monitoring and visualisation amongst others.
Raku-PUR Speed: tack-free in seconds
In industrial applications that form part of complex production lines, components need to be used straight after sealing with no special accommodation for curing needed. The fast-curing soft integral foam Raku-PUR Speed from Rampf Giessharze is suitable for adhesion to almost all kinds of materials in assembly processes. Once the foam has been applied, the component is suitable for immediate further processing without the need to invest in curing equipment, says the company.
The ambient temperature is sufficient to cure the sealing material applied “in situ” in a matter of minutes. A short conveyor distance of two to three meters is enough to apply the foam gasket and ensure the component is ready for use. Unlike with conventional systems, users do not need to invest in additional equipment or pay the extra energy costs associated with curing. Thanks to these features, this new foam gasket is ideal for use in all technologies that require short cycle times.
