Haltermann to promote pentanes at Utech North America 2014

According to Haltermann, the trade show is an ideal platform to present its pentanes, a strategic product group that is increasingly gaining importance worldwide as environmentally friendly blowing agents for polyurethane foams.

Haltermann produces a varied range of products types of all three pentane isomers, including n-Pentane 95 %, Isopentane 95 %, Cyclopentane PU (min. 95 %), Cyclopentane I (70), and Cyclopentane IP85. The company says it offers a wide range of specific formulations tailored to meet a customer’s exact requirements.

“Utech North America is another avenue for us into the growing US market,” said Henrik

Krüpper, Managing Director at Haltermann and the H·C·S Group. “We are intensifying our efforts there. With the increasing priority on the environment, our zero ozone depletion pentanes are a clean and economic alternative for the insulation industry.” As a result, pentanes are increasingly turned to as the clean alternative to halogenated blowing agents for polyurethane foam used mainly by the appliance, construction and pipe insulation industries, says the company.

The establishment in April 2013 of the H·C·S Group brought together two long-established hydrocarbon-based speciality companies: Haltermann GmbH in Germany, and Petrochem Carless Holdings Limited (PCL) in the UK. Pentanes are a strategic business line of the H·C·S Group, located in Frankfurt/Main. In addition to production facilities in the UK, Belgium and Germany, H·C·S Group has a production agreement with Beta Grupo Petroquimico, Mexico to supply customers in North and Latin America.
