Elastocon expands its medical TPE range
The transparent grades of the CLR series are available in 65 and 75 Shore A hardnesses, giving tubing a soft feel. They were developed for applications that require oil/plasticiser free materials. They are said to feature good clarity and flexibility, offer high strength, provide a high degree of softness, have high resilience (especially for various strap applications), plus have good clamp resilience and resistance to kinking and necking. Selected grades can be overmoulded onto PP.
Available in ready-to-use pellets or as concentrates, the TPEs are FDA compliant and well-suited for applications requiring UV stability.
The company based in Rochester, IL, USA, offers a 2800 series and 8000 series of TPEs, a SMR series of TPOs, the STK series for overmoulding, and alloys.
