KraussMaffei offers tablet version of its spare parts catalog
By offering a new tablet-accessible spare parts catalog, KraussMaffei is giving its customers in reaction process machinery a solution that can provide a boost in efficiency in terms of maintenance. Its advantage compared to the existing desktop catalog:
Maintenance or operating personnel can define the spare parts they need right at the machine—on sight and with all information required for precise determination. Linked parts lists, detailed exploded drawings, detailed information on parts list items, and optionally even the machine documentation can be displayed. The menu guides the operator from the level of the entire machine to assemblies to the individual parts they are looking for. A search function provides additional help in finding parts or service documents quickly. Once the required parts are defined, they can be ordered directly from the catalog by e-mail. The tablet shows the machine—the spare parts catalog with all additions—in exactly the configuration installed at the customer’s facility. This also makes searching for variants and version numbers unnecessary. If a customer operates multiple reaction process machinery units, they can also be integrated incrementally and separately into the tablet computer, each in its respective configuration.
