MALAYSIA: MRB activates rubber production incentive this month
The Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) announced that the rubber production incentive (IPG) will be activated in December 2015 with the payment of 10 cent/kg for cup lump at farm-gate level (50 % dry rubber content).
In a statement, MRB said the smallholders can make their claims based on their production in November starting 1 Dec. until 31 Dec. 2015.
MRB said the rubber smallholders under the Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority, the Federal Land Development Authority and the Federal Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority would have to make their claims through these agencies while other smallholders can claim payment through the MRB offices in Peninsular Malaysia.
The board said that all IPG applicants were required to have the rubber transaction authority permit (PAT-G) to make their claims. The PAT-G can be obtained free of charge at all MRB offices in Peninsular Malaysia. Claims can be made by submitting necessary forms and also by presenting the official sales receipt. IPG will be activated when the monthly average price of SMR20 FOB is at RM5.10 per kilogramme or the farm-gate price is at RM2.00 per kilogram or less.
