Freudenberg doubles production capacity for seals in Hungary

With an investment of about EUR 4 million, Freudenberg Sealing Technologies has doubled the production space for sealing solutions to about 6,000 m² at its plant in Kecs­kemét, Hungary.

According to Freudenberg, with this, the first part of a perennial investment of EUR 13 million has been completed. In the future, the company will produce about 9 million seals per month – primarily for the automotive industry – at the site. Freudenberg Sealing Technologies has been producing seals in Kecskemét since 1998. Production operations have been steadily expanded since then. The plant now employs 700 workers. Among other products, they produce radial shaft seal rings for transmission and drivetrain applications. 75 new positions are being created as part of the expansion. Besides the facility in Kecskemét, the company operates a factory in Lajosmizse, and its subsidiary Dichtomatik has a sales office in Budapest.
