Kuraray: Launch of digital "Elastomer Coffee Talks"

With a new web seminar series, the Elastomer Coffee Talks, Kuraray offers customers practical knowledge on innovative elastomer materials. The webinar series will be launched on 9 April 2021. The first edition will focus on medical and pharmaceutical equipment of the future.

With the "Elastomer Coffee Talks", Kuraray is launching a new digital seminar format to present users from different industries possibilities to make their products better, more sustainable and more user-friendly with thermoplastic elastomers such as Septon and Hybrar. Four web seminar editions are planned in 2021, in which participants will not only get a lot of practical knowledge but also the chance to exchange ideas across industries. The first web seminar on 9 April 2021 will focus on how elastomers make medical materials and pharmaceutical equipment more efficient and safer - including an outlook on the post-COVID-19 pandemic. The Kuraray experts will be supported by a guest speaker from science, industry or research.

Safer Materials for a softer Europe

For users from the medical and pharmaceutical industry, the first web seminar "Safer Materials for a softer Europe" offers practical know-how: What possibilities do thermoplastic elastomers offer in medical devices? And how can innovative TPE materials be used to meet current requirements such as GMP, ISO standards or American USP standards? Marcel Gruendken, Senior Manager MD&TS, Bianca Carvalho, Assistant Manager Sales, and Robin Conrad, Marketing & CRM at Kuraray, will provide answers to these and other questions at the first edition of the Elastomer Coffee Talks. In addition, participants will receive information on how TPEs can be used to significantly improve the performance and safety of medical equipment such as respiratory masks, tubing, and bags for infusions and blood products, and replace PVC.
