Future Foam: New manufacturing facility in Texas
According to an article in the “Dallas Business Journal”, 23 May 2021, Future Foam Inc. has plans to renovate and occupy a 341,840 square-foot warehouse in Garland, TX, USA, which has been vacant since 2015. The Iowa-based manufacturer, which specialises in polyurethane foam products, plans to invest nearly USD 3 million to renovate the existing warehouse. It has been vacant since Apex Tool Group consolidated its operations from Garland to South Carolina, resulting in the loss of 261 jobs. Future Foam expects to create 104 full time jobs over the next few years. The company also intends to reactivate rail service to the facility, the journal reported.
“Future Foam is excited to announce the expansion of manufacturing operations into Garland, which is advantageous for its strategic location and manufacturing resources. We are happy to work together with the city of Garland in a mutually beneficial partnership,” said Patrick Medinger, Future Foam CFO, in a prepared statement. “Future Foam is a family-owned company that has been in operation since 1958. We focus on bringing the highest quality products through innovative, customer driven solutions.” The company already operates two other facilities in Northwest Dallas, along with some 30 other facilities in 18 states and international facilities in Germany and China.
