wdk: Taneja new President
On 19 November 2020, Anish K. Taneja, President Michelin Region Europe North, has been appointed as the new President of the German Rubber Industry Association wdk (Wirtschaftsverband der deutschen Kautschukindustrie e. V.). Taneja succeeds Dr. Ralf Holschumacher, Vice President Supply Chain EMEA and LATAM Baby Division Newell Brands, who held the position since 2014.
The new wdk President Taneja emphasised the strategic importance of sustainability and digital mobility solutions also in the German rubber industry: "Overcoming the Corona pandemic, the transformation of mobility and megatrends such as climate protection, the energy transition or the circular economy pose enormous challenges. These can only be tackled in close cooperation and dialogue with the industry.” The German rubber industry needs reliable framework conditions, especially in Germany. As wdk President, he would strongly advocate this, said Taneja.

Dr. Holschumacher had played a decisive role in shaping the association during his six and a half years in office. So it was very important to him to emphasise the importance of industry for prosperity in Germany. Supporting the restructuring of the automotive industry as a supplier sector and strengthening sustainability in the German rubber industry were further focal points of his commitment. He will remain with the association as a member of the Executive Committee.
