Brüggemann: Lätsch to become Managing Director

The chemical company L.Brüggemann GmbH & Co. KG has appointed Dr. Stefan Lätsch as a member of the management board effective 1 April 2021. His responsibilities will include the further international expansion of the business. The long-standing managing directors Dr. Josef Berghofer and Joachim Hofmann will remain fully available to the company until the end of the year.

"The time span until the end of the year enables us to optimally manage the hand-over and for the further development of the organization together with Dr. Lätsch. This is fully in the interest of the company and ensures us the best possible continuity" say Josef Berghofer and Joachim Hofmann.

Stefan Lätsch was previously responsible for sales, market development and the Asia region at Schott AG in Mainz. Before assuming regional responsibility at Schott AG in 2009, he held management positions in the chemical industry, most recently at Süd-Chemie AG as Head of Corporate Development, as well as Head of the global Adsorbents and Additives Business Units and the Pharmaceutical Packaging Business Unit.

Chairman and shareholder Ronald Ayles is pleased to have won an internationally experienced chemist for the company : "Dr. Lätsch's broad international experience will contribute to our growth strategy, especially with regard to inorganic expansion. The course of the company, which has been so successfully shaped by the work of the managing directors Josef Berghofer and Joachim Hofmann, is to be continued".
