Personnel changes at Eliokem

Philippe Carabin has been named Chief Executive Officer of Eliokem International.

In his new role, he replaces Jacques Collonge, who has been CEO of Eliokem since the creation of the company in December 2001. Collonge retired at the beginning of 2009 after 35 years of service with the company. Carabin was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Eliokem in December 2001. Since 2005, he has additionally been responsible for IT, general administration, supply chain and the purchase of non-strategic raw materials.
Furthermore, the company appointed Andrea Valenti, 54, as Global Oilfield Chemicals and Coatings Business Manager, effective 1April 2009. Valenti began his career with the company in 1986 as Sales Representative for Southern Europe and the Middle East at the time when it was still part of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. From 1992 to 2004, he acted as Area Manager for the Middle East, Europe and the CIS. In 2004, he was appointed Global Marketing Manager for Oilfield Chemicals, an office he will still hold together with his new assignment.
