DowDuPont has announced the members of the Boards of Directors of the three future independent companies: Dow, DuPont, and Corteva Agriscience. DowDuPont said it remains on track to separate the Materials Science division (Dow) by 1 April 2019, and the Agriculture (Corteva Agriscience) and Specialty Products (DuPont) divisions by 1 June 2019. Davis-Standard announced that Norton C. Wheeler, Jr., one of its most accomplished technology innovators and R&D pioneer, passed away at the age of 96 at the end of September 2018. According to the company, he is known as the father of the DSB (Davis-Standard Barrier) feedscrew, authored numerous technical papers, and mentored many Davis- Standard engineers. Wheeler’s career at the company spanned six decades. Even after his retirement in 1989, he remained engaged as a consultant until the age of 90.

On 3 July 2018, Reinhard Danzer, who has been in the commercial management of LWB Steinl since 2007, was appointed co-managing director of LWB Steinl GmbH & Co. KG and STG Stanztechnik GmbH by managing partner Peter Steinl. The Steinl Group expects to gain even more presence and stability with this dual leadership. In addition, Reinhard Danzer will remain CFO and continue to be responsible for the commercial area of the group. In his new position, the new co-managing director was available for an interview. Wolfram Diener, 54, currently active as Senior Vice President at UBM Asia Ltd. in Hong Kong, will become the new operative managing director of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, effective from 1 October 2018. He succeeds Joachim Schäfer, 64, who will retire from the company at the end of August 2018.

He will report to Christina Zamarro, who has taken on expanded responsibilities as vice president of corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and investor relations. Mitchell joined Goodyear from Northcoast Research Partners where he served as managing director, research analyst since 2009.

Dr. Markus Steilemann, previously Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), has become the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Covestro. He succeeds Patrick Thomas, who has retired prematurely on 31 May 2018 by mutual agreement. Thomas’ contract as CEO would have originally ended on 30 September 2018. Thomas has been CEO of Covestro and its predecessor Bayer MaterialScience since 2007.
