Recticel introduces new low lambda technology
Recticel announced that its Insulation division has launched a new technology for the production of rigid polyurethane insulation boards with a thermal conductivity of 0.019 W/mK, offering a 13 % better insulation performance than existing products. The so called Xentro technology will be commercialised in cavity and floor applications under the respective product names Eurowall Xentro and Eurofloor Xentro, said Recticel.
According to the company, rigid polyurethane insulation boards with Xentro technology empower more freedom in design for both new builds and refurbishment projects. The new products, which addresses the demands of energy-efficient buildings and high performing insulation materials for the construction market, will in first instance be produced in Wevelgem, Belgium, and sold via a network of building material merchants in Belgium. At a later stage these products will also be rolled out to other countries, the company said.
