The long-standing CEO of the Boge Rubber & Plastics Group, Dr. Torsten Bremer, will hand over his position to his successor Torsten Gehrmann as of 1 July 2021. As a member of the management board of CRRC New Material Technologies GmbH, the globally responsible umbrella company of the Boge Rubber & Plastics Group based in Damme, Torsten Gehrmann has been jointly responsible for the Boge Rubber & Plastics Group since 1 December 2020. Dr. Torsten Bremer is moving to the Supervisory Board of CRRC New Material Technologies GmbH, which is currently being constituted.

KraussMaffei has appointed Jörg Bremer as new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the KraussMaffei Group and the Shanghai-listed KraussMaffei Company Limited (KMCL), effective 1 July 2021. Jörg Bremer will also become a member of the KraussMaffei Group Management Board. He succeeds Dr. Harald Nippel, who has the company effective 31 May 2021 at his own request, after six years of successful cooperation.

Sheryl Telford has been appointed to the newly created position of Chief Sustainability Officer at Chemours. A respected and trusted industry expert, Telford has more than three decades of experience in the environmental, safety and health fields in the government, utility and chemistry sectors. She joined Chemours upon its creation in 2015 as Director, EHS and Remediation before being named vice president, environment, health, safety and corporate responsibility in 2018. In her new role, Telford will also play a central role in establishing strategic collaborations and partnerships with external experts, companies, industries and organisations to advance Chemours sustainability efforts and advocate for sustainable, science-based policy and regulation.

Marcello Boldrini, Kraton's Senior Vice President and Chemical Segment President, has been appointed to the additional role of Chief Sustainability Officer for Kraton Corporation in March 2021. In his expanded role, Marcello Boldrini will assume responsibility for Kraton's global Sustainability strategy and related initiatives.

Jun Inoue is joining the management of Kuraray Europe GmbH (KEG) as co-managing director, alongside Dr. Matthias Gutweiler. Speciality chemicals producer Kuraray has its European headquarters in Hattersheim, Germany, and production facilities at Höchst Industrial Park in Frankfurt and in Troisdorf. Jun Inoue will also be in charge of the Advanced Materials division. In addition to the speciality chemicals business, he will therefore be responsible for the Elastomer, Dental, Industry and Microfibres business units. He intends to drive forward the focus on high-performance materials in Germany and Europe. Priorities are materials with a strong sustainability profile and the establishment of innovative 5G technologies for production and service. Jun Inoue takes over from Naoya Uehara, who is moving to a new management role at Kuraray in Japan.

Axel Sebbesse will become a Managing Director of the Otto Krahn Group and assume the role of Chief Development Officer (CDO). His future areas of responsibility will include Strategy, Corporate Development, M&A, New Business, and People & Culture. In addition to the Krahn Chemie Group, Otto Krahn Group Holding also includes the plastics distributor Albis, the compounder Mocom, and the plastics recycler Wipag. Sebbesse worked for Albis from 2007 until he became a Krahn Chemie Group Managing Director in 2008. He has been managing the Group since then along with Dr. Rolf Kuropka.

Star Thermoplastics Alloys & Rubbers has announced the appointment of Dr. Prakash Sanjeevaiah as Vice President of Technology. He joined the company in 2008 as Manager, Research and Development. Over the past decade he has made significant technical and commercial contributions which led to his advancement to Director of Technology in early 2018. Several new products have been commercialised under his technical leadership, contributing to Star's revenue growth. In addition to managing Star's technology organisation, Prakash Sanjeevaiah is leading all IT functions, Scale Up and Quality. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the TPE Special Interest Group of SPE. He is also very active in the SPE and RAPRA conferences as a thought leader and presenter.

Prof. Georg Menges, Professor emeritus, holder of the Chair of Plastics Processing and long-time head of the Institute for Plastics Processing (IKV) at RWTH Aachen University, passed away on 28 February 2021 at the age of 97. Prof. Menges was also holder of an honorary doctorate from the Montan University Leoben, an honorary member of the Board of the Association of Sponsors of the Institute for Plastics Processing in Industry and Craft at RWTH Aachen University as well as a holder of numerous national and international awards.

Pascal Laborde has been in charge of the French Arburg subsidiary in Aulnay-sous-Bois since 1 November 2020. Arburg SAS was the company’s first foreign subsidiary to be set up back in 1985. Besides Arburg is planning a new building for the subsidiary located in the Greater Paris area spanning approximately 1,600 m2.
