China as market for plastics and rubber machines
On the occasion of Chinaplas, to be held from 17 – 20 May 2011 in Guangzhou, China, the Plastics and Rubber Machinery Association of the German Engineering Federation VDMA has published latest statistics on German and international exports of plastics and rubber machines to China.
“Green manufacturing” in focus at Chinaplas
With the extending application areas of the plastics and rubber materials, the concern on the environmental problems caused during manufacturing, usage and recycling has been increasing. Nowadays, many countries request the manufacturers not only to consider the products' function and cost, but also to bear the responsibility of the environmental impact brought about by the products.

Chinaplas 2011 is organized by Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd., hosted by China Foreign Trade Guangzhou Exhibition General Corporation and co-organized by the China Foreign Trade Centre (Group), China National Light Industry Council - China Plastics Processing Industry Association, China Plastic Machine Industry Association, Guangdong Plastics Industry Association, Messe Duesseldorf China Ltd., Shanghai Society of Plastics Industry and Beijing Yazhan Exhibition Services Ltd. The event is also supported by various plastics and rubber associations in China and abroad.
Chinaplas 2011 celebrating its 25th edition
Chinaplas 2011, the 25th international exhibition on the plastics and rubber industries, will be held from 17 – 20 May 2011 in the largest exhibition hall in Asia, the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Guangzhou, China. According to the organiser, the event is the largest plastics and rubber exhibition in Asia and one of the most influential exhibitions of its kind in the world. The exhibition will cover a total area of more than 160,000 m2. The event is expected to attract more than 2,200 exhibitors from 35 countries and regions and will feature 11 pavilions hosted by Austria, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, UK, USA, China, and Taiwan. The organisers expect about 80,000 visitors, 18 % of whom are overseas visitors from more than 130 countries and regions.
