VersaFlex Incorporated has launched Roughguard XT, a high performing vehicle protection coating/bed liner system. Roughguard XT is a field proven “industrial grade” 100 % pure polyurea system, “Engineered for the Vehicle Protection Market,” according to Rudi Rennert, West Coast Sales Representative for VersaFlex.

Sonderhoff to present new Smart dispensing cell at Fakuma 2014

At the Fakuma trade fair from 14. – 18. October 2014 in Friedrichshafen, Germany, Sonderhoff Engineering will present the new Smart – DM 402 dispensing cell for gasketing, glueing and potting. According to the manufacturer, the dispensing cell has a new, more compact and fully modular design and is equipped with new built-in safety technology. With the help of standardised modules, the dispensing cell may now be adapted to different production concepts in a more flexible way.

Synergy for sustainability in wood coating

Sapici, Liberty Chemicals and Galactic have announced the initial results of their cooperation aimed at developing new formulations for wood coating characterised by high environmental compatibility.

This profile was pultruded by another member of the Deceuninck Group – Deceuninck North America – using the company's Rovex technology and polyurethane raw materials from Bayer MaterialScience LLC.

Haier repeat order confirms Cannon V.A.I. a preferred method for the production of energy-efficient domestic refrigerators

Haier, a leader in cold appliances, is currently using with success its second 16-fixture Cannon foaming and polymerisation line for domestic refrigerators, featuring the Vacuum-Assisted Injection (V.A.I.) method, in its Qingdao factory. According to Cannon, Haier’s repeat purchase of a V.A.I. foaming equipment reinforces the commercial success of this innovative technology, industrially launched in September 2011.

Dow Automotive Systems to launch amine emission free PU foam solution for interior applications

Dow Automotive Systems announced the launch of what it said is the “the first truly viable amine emission free PU foam solution for interior applications”. This technology can enable automotive seat pad foamers to meet the most stringent industry requirements such as the German OEMs specifications (Daimler, Audi/VW, BMW) including ultra -low emissions together with good physical and mechanical properties combined with ageing and processing advantages. The new development has already been tested and validated in an industrial setting by Faurecia at their foam production facility in Magny-Vernois, France.

Carbon-reinforced roof parts are produced at BMW in Germany using a dedicated Cannon fibre preformer The CRESIM project generated the first industrial results: a 130 cm-diameter satellite dish for data transmission has been produced by assembling seven equal parts produced with ESTRIM Liquid Lay Down technology in a dedicated mould. With ESTRIM LLD the epoxy resin is deposited over the carbon reinforcement. The new InterWet mixing head designed by Cannon Afros for high-output co-injection of polyurethane and glass fibres. A dedicated Cannon dosing unit has been designed for the application of Clear Coating formulations in automotive interior applications.

Cannon to highlight processing technologies for PU and composites at Fakuma 2014

The 23rd edition of Fakuma – the International trade fair for plastics processing taking place in Friedrichshafen, Germany, since more than 30 years – will be held from 14 – 18 October 2014. The twelve halls of the Friedrichshafen Exhibition Centre on Lake Constance are fully booked out, with 1,288 exhibitors from 32 countries. Cannon will be present as usual at this important event with its stand 1434 in hall 1, managed by Cannon Deutschland.
