Invista expands production of Terate polyols

Invista Specialty Materials announced it is investing “several” million USD at its two Terate aromatic polyester polyols manufacturing sites located in Wilmington, NC, USA, and Vlissingen, Netherlands. These investments involve upgrades to boost global production volumes of the Terate HT polyols product line. In future, the company will produce Terate HT polyols and traditional Terate polyols at both sites.

According to Invista, Terate polyols offer advances in ease of processing and efficiency in rigid foam manufacture, as well as improved adhesion to various substrates, including cold adhesion for spray applications. They are used e. g. in PU and PIR foams as well as in CASE applications.
