Successful year 2012 for Repi

“Our growth is basically generated by our export business and therefore is mostly independent from national economic fluctuation”, explains Michael Rath, PU Managing Director at Repi S.p.A. After having increased the turnover especially in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) by more than double during the past three years, Repi is forecasting another 8 % growth for this year. “We all know that our targets are very ambitious considering the current economic conditions. The polyurethane market is growing much faster in Asia than in Europe. Nevertheless, we are very confident that we can gain additional PU customers in Europe with new products,” says Rath.

As far as the business in North and South America is concerned, Repi customers are supplied from the recently built production site in Dallas, NC, USA. The result is impressive – in 2012 the turnover of Repi LLC increased by 20 % compared to the previous year. “The decision taken in 2011 to build a new production plant to react faster to customer requirements was at that time surely venturous – but it turned out to be exactly the right one as the important growth demonstrates,” says Rath. For the current year Repi LLC is forecasting similar growth rates.

In order to realise the planned increase in turnover in the different regions, Repi says it is planning to create 10 – 15 new jobs in 2013. More than 100 employees will then be taking care of its customers to reach the target of a EUR 30 million turnover in 2013, says the company.
