Huntsman to increase price of MDI, MDI-based systems, and polyol grades
In Europe, Huntsman will commence with a minimum rise of EUR 250 per tonne. In GCC and Indian sub-continent markets it will commence with a minimum rise of USD 250 per tonne. According to the company, further increases may be advised. The move comes into effect immediately or as contracts allow.
Nick Webster, Vice President, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Indian Sub-Continent for the Polyurethanes division of Huntsman, said: "This price increase is necessary to address the massive upwards shift of raw material costs for MDI and polyol products, mainly originating from record-high crude oil and derivatives pricing”.
