Friederichs new Editor-in-Chief of PU Magazine

He succeeds Angela Austin, who has resigned from the position at her own request but will continue to work as a consultant to the magazines.

Friederichs completed a PhD in Organic Chemistry with Prof. E. Vogel at the University of Cologne and started his professional career at Bayer in 1985. During his career at Bayer he gained about 30 years of experience in polyurethanes, including different positions in research, development, and as assistant to the Board of Management. After working in the PU rigid foam application development group (lamination boards and slabstock) for about seven years, he became Head of the Global Product Research Group within the Business Unit Polyurethanes in 2002. After leaving Bayer MaterialScience AG at the end of 2013, he has undertaken lecturing, consultancy and started to work as an Editor for the polyurethanes magazines. Since 1 August 2014 he has taken the role of Editor-in-Chief for the magazines.
