New appointments at Dow Automotive

Klaus Rudert

Dow Automotive announced two new appointments in its Euro­pean sales organisation.

Klaus Rudert has been named Sales Director for plastics for Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Rudert will be responsible for the PU, epoxy systems and elastomers businesses in those regions. He started his career at Dow in 2001 and joined the Dow Automotive plastics team in 2005. In his last position he was Global Account Executive for VolkswagenAG (VW).

Thorsten Schmidt has been appointed Global Account Executive for VW, which includes responsibility for all the brands within the group. In addition, he has been named Regional Sales Director for Iberia (Spain and Portugal), with responsibility for OEM, OES, aftermarket and commercial transportation activities. Schmidt joined Dow Automotive in 2001. Most recently he was business improvement leader for Dow Basic Plastics in Europe, India, Middle East and Africa.
