NPE2012: Huntsman highlights new Krystalgran applications

This year at NPE, emphasis at the Huntsman stand will be placed on innovative products including Krystalgran, a range of aliphatic resins that are used to create protective films for optical and non-optical applications. Krystalgran films were first developed for use in the automotive industry.

Converted into a transparent, UV-resistant sheet, this resin can be applied to the bodywork of a car to protect it from chips and scratches caused by stones, gravel and grit. Now the technology is also finding application in the electronics sector to protect the screens of portable consumer devices such as tablet PCs and smart phones.
