New spray equipment technology

The new pump comes equipped with an on‑board battery so users can spray without access to a direct power source and it weighs less than 23 kg. According to SKI, the portability of the SE‑20 will enable contractors to take jobs they would have previously had to turn down because of the limitations of typical heavy spray equipment that requires a separate power source in excess of 200 volts and can not be moved easily by just one person. The SE‑20 must be seen as in a different class than a typical hot spray machine. While hot spray is still the industry’s choice for large volume jobs, the SE‑20 opens up new applications. It is also worth noting that the decrease in overspray saves material and the new design facilitates cleaning of the equipment because the material never contacts the pump, says SKI.

SKI has recently been named as the newest distributor for Polyurethane Machinery Corporation (PMC), a supplier of plural component high powered impingement style spray equipment. The PMC equipment options will add to SKI’s existing spray equipment product lineup. The addition of PMC products means that SKI will now offer traditional hot spray equipment as well as the newer warm and cold spray technologies.
