New heated hose for the application of PU and polyurea with small units
The German company Polycraft GmbH based in Rödermark has now improved its hose-heating system for applications of polyurethane and polyurea with small units for small jobs (mini jobs). Instead of heating the materials through a recirculation system, Polycraft applies hoses with direct heating. According to the company, this results in a quicker and more accurate heating of the hoses compared to recirculation. Another advantage is avoiding interruptions due to insufficient heating during job application. This saves time and money and gets small jobs done faster, says Polycraft. A transformer – obligatory when using bigger units – is not necessary anymore. Also, recirculation is no longer required.
The continuous and accurate heating of the hoses in lengths of 33 ft (for 110 V) respectively 50 ft (for 230 V) is regulated through a digital controller. Polycraft's direct hose heating system helps the applicators, who have small units for plural component spraying, such as joint-fill, trucks, boats, trailers and various other small jobs, to be more efficient.
