Repsol to attend to the VDI congress “Plastics in Automotive Engineering”

For the first time, Repsol will be taking part with its own stand at the show, which is to be held in Mannheim, Germany, from 2 – 3 April 2014 during the international congress “Plastics in Automotive Engineering”.

The company has a lot of experience in supplying products for this industrial sector, from polyolefins (polypropylene and polyethylene) and polyols for producing rigid and flexible foams, to fuels and motor oils. At this show, Repsol will be presenting its full range of polyolefins for the motor industry, with special attention to its extensive line of polypropylene compounds. According to Repsol, this initiative is another step towards the Polyolefins Business’ objective of confirming its commitment to the automotive sector, a key driver of its growing presence in Europe over the next few years.

Through its ongoing strategy of direct collaboration with OEMs and Tier 1 in the sector, Repsol says it addresses both their needs to obtain the ultimate performance and to ensure the highest value throughout the supply chain.

The team of Product Development Engineers at Repsol’s Technology Centre in Madrid showcases the company’s 25+ years’ experience in the automotive sector. The laboratories at this facilities use the latest equipment and state-of-the-art techniques for developing products and obtaining the required homologations for the automotive industry, says the company.

In order to boost its growing sales of the compounds manufactured at its Tarragona and Monzón plants, Repsol also draws on the technological support of its polypropylene pilot plant, whose design and versatility enable it to develop innovative products with short homologation periods and supply times to its customers.
