Croda presents new bio-based monomers and solutions for WPCs at K 2013
At K 2013 Croda Coatings & Polymers will present a selection of sustainable monomers (building blocks), polyols and additives. These products offer a wide range of different functionalities alongside high performance properties. Croda Coatings & Polymers has extended its range of 100% bio-based Priplast polyester polyol building blocks for polyurethane applications with the introduction of Priplast 3293. The product is semi-crystalline and its availability broadens the amorphous Priplast range to meet the requirements for high demanding polyurethane applications by offering performance characteristics such as hydrolytic and thermo-oxidative stability combined with an improved environmental profile.
Chem-Trend introduces new processing aids at K 2013
At K 2013 in Duesseldorf Chem-Trend will present its comprehensive portfolio of processing aids for thermoplastic materials. A highlight will be the new Lusin Lub O 32 F, which has been developed particularly with regard to PET processing. Since the newly developed product is NSF H1 registered and EU (2002/72/EG) certified, it can be used in the manufacture of products which are subject to food hygiene requirements.
Hoffman Mineral: Calcined Neuburg Siliceous Earth achieves excellent results in thermoplastics and elastomers
Hoffmann Mineral launched its Calcined Neuburg Siliceous Earth at K 2010; the company has been build up a special facility for this product, which has already found a good acceptance in the market.
Rhein Chemie presents results of the CarboElast project at K 2013
Rhein Chemie Rheinau, based in Mannheim, Germany, will inform about the results of the CarboElast project at K 2013. Other highlights at the RheinChemie stand include Rhenogran Geniplex-70, a crosslinking activator for state-of-the-art sulfur crosslinking systems, Rhenoblend functional elastomers with special properties based on trans-polynorbornene, Rhenodiv and Rhenoshape bladder technology, and Addonyl additives for manufacturing and modifying cast polyamide.
ML Engraving: New patent for footwear production Hall 4, stand D30
Italian company ML Engraving, based in Onore (Bg), a specialist in the laser engraving of moulds, will inform at K about the patent technology Air-Off, an innovative process for the realisation of textures. The Air-Off is a solution to solve the problems associated with degassing eliminating the risk of burning, blowing bubbles and small tears.
DKT 2012: Premiere of the TPE Forum
The extensive lecture programme of the DKT conference includes a two-day TPE forum, held from 3-4 July (room Amsterdam). The concept of the TPE Forum has been developed in cooperation with the Technical Committee of the VDI unit “Engineered polymer materials”, which was responsible for the programme.
