Sikora has launched the Purity Scanner, a system for the 100 % online inspection and sorting of pellets. The intelligent application of X-ray technology with an optical system allows the detection of impurities of 50 µm. Contaminated pellets are reliably sorted out. The inspection allows the detection of organic and metallic contaminations inside the pellet as well as on the pellet surface, using a special combination of X-ray technology and an optical system. The company says the combination of both technologies is unique and is exceeding previous solutions on the market. Even non-transparent materials can be detected.

Benteler SGL selected Cannon as equipment partner for the production of carbon-reinforced parts supplied to BMW. According to the company, the main reasons for this choice include the availability at Cannon of a complete production package – chemical dosing units, high-tonnage presses, carbon-fibre preformers and moulds – as well as the local presence of a sales and technical service staff.
