Zeon to build new SSBR manufacturing site in Singapore

Zeon Corp. announced the new construction of a SSBR plant on Jurong Island in Singapore. The company intends to build the facility in two phases, each with an annual capacity of 30 – 40 kt, resulting in a total capacity of 60 – 80 kt/y.

Production is scheduled to start in July 2013. The rubber produced at the plant will be used for tyres.
