DuPont announces price adjustments

DuPont Performance Polymers will increase its prices effective 1 March 2011 or as contracts allow in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Prices will be increased by:

  • 0.25 EUR/kg on Zytel nylon resins, Zytel HTN high-performance polyamides, Delrin acetal grades and on Hytrel TPC-ET (with up to 0.40 EUR/kg for speciality grades)
  • 0.30 EUR/kg on Crastin PBT and Rynite PET (with up to 0.50 EUR/kg for speciality grades)
  • 2.00 EUR/kg for Viton fluoroelastomers and Viton Free Flow products (or higher for certain grades)
  • 0.50 EUR/kg for Neoprene polychloroprene

The company says these adjustments are due to continued escalation of costs.
