Brabender Messtechnik: New features for the TSSR-Meter

The TSSR-Meter for rapid and exact determination of crosslink density

The TSSR-Meter for rapid and exact determination of crosslink density

Brabender Messtechnik announced to present new features for its established TSSR-Meter (TSSR = Temperature Scanning Stress Relaxation).

This innovative test device has been developed for the rapid and exact determination of the crosslink density of TPVs and other elastomers. Together with Prof. Norbert Vennemann and his team from Osnabrück University the company based in Duisburg, Germany, constantly develops the instrument further by adding new features. For K 2013 new clamps will be presented. Up to now, the materials to be measured had to be tested as a standard bar of 2 mm thickness (DIN 53504) respectively a specimen 5A (EN ISO 527), which limited the applicability of the device. The new clamps now enable users to measure finished parts such as O-rings, round cord sealings, and hoses. The company also announced that in the near future, there will be clamps for films available. By using these new different and partly exchangeable new clamps, the TSSR-Meter serves an even greater application area and can be widely applied especially in product and quality control.
