Chem-Trend introduces new processing aids at K 2013

At K 2013 in Duesseldorf Chem-Trend will present its comprehensive portfolio of processing aids for thermoplastic materials. A highlight will be the new Lusin Lub O 32 F, which has been developed particularly with regard to PET processing. Since the newly developed product is NSF H1 registered and EU (2002/72/EG) certified, it can be used in the manufacture of products which are subject to food hygiene requirements.

Lusin Lub O 32 F is a hybrid product, acting both as a lubricant as well as a release agent for all thermoplastics except polycarbonate. A release agent which also offers a lubricating effect prevents surface scratches on PET preforms in conveyor systems, thus ensuring an excellent surface finish of the parts. When used in large PET bottles production machines, the same properties prevent the preforms from sticking together during production. Because of its minimal residue formation, Lusin Lub O 32 F also ensures a higher quality when manufacturing blown film. Its excellent lubricating performance as well as its outstanding release properties minimise scrap rates, increase tool-life, and reduce machine downtimes. Lusin Lub O 32 F contains no solvents, silicone, or halogens and is therefore particularly environmentally sound. Overspray can be removed by simply using water.

“The use of external processing aids in the manufacture of packagings for the food industry is subject to stringent requirements”, said René Gräwe, Global Business Development Director Thermoplastics at Chem-Trend. „Chem-Trend offers a comprehensive portfolio of products and services for this segment. Customers benefit from the long-standing and substantiated know-how of our technicians and specialists.“

Under the brand name Lusin, Chem-Trend offers a comprehensive portfolio of complementary, NSF H1 registered products for the thermoplast segment, including release agents, anti-corrosion agents, mould cleaners, surface cleaners, and surface degreasers.
