PU China 2010 preview: Yantai Wanhua

Yantai Wanhua Polyurethanes will display a whole raft of developments and applications in the fields of polyurethanes on its stand at PU China. The stand will highlight applications in rigid and flexible foam as well as specialities for the automotive, furniture, high-speed railway, adhesives, and coating industries. Furthermore, the company will host a series of four technical seminars during PU China.

Under the motto “To be a reliable global isocyanate supplier and service provider”, the company will highlight its role as raw material supplier to the Chinese market. To meet demand, Yantai Wanhua recently launched its new Wanhua Bajiao Portside Industrial Park project in Yantai, which will make the company one of the biggest PU raw materials producers in the world.

The new site will include 600kt/y of MDI and 300kt/y of TDI capacity, which will come on stream by the end of 2013. After completion, the company will have more than 1,800kt/y of isocyanates capacity in China. In addition, Yantai Wanhua is also planning to build aliphatic isocyanate and polyether polyol production units at its Ningbo and Yantai sites.
