Polymax selecting sites for new TPE compounding facility in the US

Polymax Elastomer Technology Co. Ltd, a major Chinese TPE compounding company based in Nantong, announced at NPE2012 in Orlando, that it is currently busy selecting sites and determining plant opening dates for a new TPE production in North America. Exact dates and timing were not given. The plans to build the new US facility have been announced in 2010 already.

Polymax said that possible locations are in Illinois, North and South Carolina, and Michigan. Personnel needs are expected to start at around 10-20 employees. The new production facility is expected to increase the company's capacities by around 20%.

Polymax sells its Maxelast TPEs in North Amercia through Alliance Polymers and Services, based in Romulus, MI. Alliance currently markets and supports Polymax Maxelast TPEs and BASF Elastollan TPUs in large and small quantities in markets throughout North America.
