According to the company, the success in the use of this technology has led to the investment in India. The India office will be fully functional starting January 2013 but product will be available starting July 2012, says Foam Supplies.
The launch of this new hub will provide the polyurethane foam industry in the Indian sub-continent and other countries in the region with a steady and more affordable supply of an environment-friendly alternative to ozone depleting foam-blowing substances. FSI India Pvt. Ltd is dedicated to providing not only the material to foam manufacturers but technical advice and capacity development services as well, says the company.
FSI and its partners have made significant progress in reducing the threats to the ozone layer caused by HCFCs and HFCs through the use of this patented technology. According to FSI, in one year alone, the use of this technology helped reduce carbon emissions, at one customer, by more than 549,817 CO2e.
