JSR Group completes new EPDM plant in Korea

Kumho Polychem Co., Ltd., a JSR group company, recently held an inauguration ceremony for the completion of its second EPDM plant with a production capacity of 60,000 t/y at the Yeosu National Industrial Complex in Korea. The completion of the second plant increases the company’s EPDM production capacity to a total of 150,000 t/y.

The company already announced the construction of an additional production line with a capacity of 60,000 t/y (construction start and operation launch scheduled for July 2014 and September 2015, respectively) at the second plant. As a result, the total annual EPDM production capacity of the entire JSR Group, including 36,000 t/y at the JSR Kashima Plant, will reach 246,000 t/y, says the company.
